Job Vision:  We are searching for a dedicated, experienced, energetic individual to join our expanding team in Information Technology with New Wave Group North America (NWGNA).  This position will be fully remote to support East & West Coast operations in both the USA and Canada.   Candidates must be based and work remotely in one of the following approved states:  Arizona, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, or Texas.   Day shift schedule, M-F.  Weekend and afterhours work participation, as needed, to execute business projects.

International travel is required for this role with travel to Europe within the first 2-3 weeks of hire for technical onboarding with IT Team members in Europe.  At least annual international travel is required for this position.  Candidates must be able to travel internationally without restrictions.

Our Location: 

This role will be fully remote, work from home, while supporting business operations for NWGNA companies across the USA and Canada. The role will collaborate with fellow IT Team members located in Europe as part of the Cloud Engineering Team. 

 Job Summary and Essential Functions:

This position will report to the Director of IT Operations.  In this role you will join a team in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure to support our business applications and services. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, solve complex challenges, and contribute to our company’s success by ensuring our cloud systems are robust, scalable, and secure.

Essential Functions:

• Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment: Build and manage cloud solutions leveraging platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• API Management: Implement and manage API gateways and security using tools like Azure API Gateway, Imperva API Security or Kong.
• Observability: Utilize Elastic Stack (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana) for logging, monitoring, and analyzing cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, or equivalent.
• Service Integration & Containerization: Deploy and manage applications using containerization and orchestration tools, ensuring smooth transitions between SaaS services and containerized environments.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure high availability and performance of cloud services by monitoring and tuning infrastructure.
• Security: Implement and maintain cloud security protocols, monitoring systems, and compliance standards.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including developers and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of services.

Education and Experience:

• Experience: 4+ years as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Experience: Background of Infrastructure/Networking concepts and practices 
• Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS, including compute, storage, and networking. Azure Web Apps. Azure Preferred.
• CI/CD: Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Containers: Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Security: Familiarity with cloud security protocols and tools.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Basic programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Relevant certifications (Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.).
