Job description

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our client. This is an Onsite or Remote role. If onsite, work will be performed in Brooklyn, NY or potentially at an alternate New York City location.

Responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure, automation, and tools needed for streamlined development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. The DevOps Engineer collaborates closely with development teams to ensure that software can be deployed reliably and quickly while maintaining high availability and performance standards.

Key Requirements:

Extensive DevOps Experience: Proven experience in implementing and managing DevOps practices, tools, and automation processes, with a strong focus on continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud services.
Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure for scalability, performance, and security.
Automation and Scripting Skills: Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages such as Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Python, to automate workflows, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment pipelines.
Collaboration & Communication: Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and operations, to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software releases.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Experience in setting up and managing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure high application performance and proactive issue resolution.
Security & Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based applications, ensuring that DevOps pipelines comply with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Expertise in diagnosing and resolving deployment issues, system bottlenecks, and scaling challenges in production environments.
