Job description

We’re defining what it means to build and deliver the most extraordinary sports and entertainment experiences. Our global team is trailblazing new markets, developing cutting-edge products, and shaping the future of responsible gaming.

Here, “impossible” isn’t part of our vocabulary. You’ll face some of the toughest but most rewarding challenges of your career. They’re worth it. Channeling your inner grit will accelerate your growth, help us win as a team, and create unforgettable moments for our customers.

The Crown Is Yours

As a Senior Software Engineer you will join one of the Game-state teams, part of the Sportsbook department. Every single sporting event that we offer starts with complex data feeds that power our core systems and consumer applications. The game-state domain primarily focuses on aggregating live game data, which is eventually used for settlement, pricing and visualization purposes downstream. You will use Kafka heavily and maintain and create .NET Core apps running on K8s.

What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer
  • Taking active part in all development stages - building the architectural design of new features, break down and implementation.

  • Developing performance-oriented code, covered with unit and automated integration tests.

  • Following and working according to software development standards and methodologies.

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting services in a distributed environment.

  • Advise, suggest and ability to work on improvements, refactorings and optimizations, utilizing best practices or alternative technologies.

What you’ll bring
  • 5+ years of experience with .NET Core and C#.

  • Proficiency in asynchronous programming and multithreading.

  • Experience working with Kafka (or other message brokers).

  • Experience and competency with Kubernetes.

  • Excellent understanding of OOP and REST design principles.

  • Experience in writing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of unit, integration and e2e tests.

  • Skilled with Git in a shared repository.

  • Knowledge or experience with Grafana, Kibana, Datadog.

  • 1+ years of relational database experience including schema design and SQL.

  • Comfort in picking up new technologies quickly.

  • Ability to grow other engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and over-the-shoulder debugging.
