Our growing team is looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team and help us hire top-tier talent in Technology, including Machine Learning, Data Science, and AI.

As a Freelance Senior recruiter specialising in technical recruiting, you will lead the identification, engagement, and hiring of world-class talent. You will work closely with hiring managers, technical leaders, and senior stakeholders to understand hiring needs, build pipelines, and deliver exceptional candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Lead the entire recruitment lifecycle for all technical roles, focusing on Machine Learning, Data Science, and AI roles. This includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers.
  • Pipeline Development: Proactively identify, engage, and nurture relationships with passive candidates through networking, events, and social media channels
  • Talent Mapping: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the machine learning, data science, and AI talent landscape, including trends, competitors, and emerging technologies
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with hiring managers and team leads to understand job requirements, provide market insights, and develop recruitment strategies that attract top talent
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process, from first contact to offer acceptance
  • Employer Branding: Promote Soundcloud as an employer of choice within the Tech communities through events, conferences, and social media
  • Data-Driven Recruitment: Utilize metrics and analytics to track recruitment performance, identify trends, and continuously improve recruitment strategies and processes
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring diverse candidate pools and promoting inclusive hiring practices

Experience and Background: 

  • Experience: 5+ years of full-cycle In-house technical recruiting experience, with at least 3 years specialising in Machine Learning, Data Science, or related technical fields (AI, NLP, Computer Vision, etc.)
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of ML and data science concepts such as model training, ML frameworks
  • Recruitment Expertise: Proven track record in sourcing and hiring high-quality technical talent for senior-level and niche positions, particularly in fast-paced or high-growth environments
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build strong relationships with technical leaders, hiring managers, and candidates
  • Tools & Platforms: Experience using modern recruitment tools and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and specialised data science job boards
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • Metrics-Driven: Ability to analyse recruiting data and apply insights to improve hiring strategies and outcomes
  • Diversity Focused: Passion for diversity and inclusion with an ability to source and engage underrepresented talent in technical fields
