We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer/FPGA System Validation Lead to spearhead validation efforts for our product portfolio, which includes FPGAs, ARM SoCs, ASICs, and programmable devices. This role requires a technical expert with a strong understanding of ARM SoC architecture and a track record of leadership in FPGA system validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Defines and develops silicon validation strategy, methodologies, test environment, and test suites.
Validate and verify FPGA platforms with ARM cores.
Define, develop, and verify embedded Linux-based software for custom FPGA designs, including drivers and applications.
Applies deep understanding of hardware validation techniques to develop methodologies for process, voltage, and temperature (PVT), system level test, and general validation coverage for silicon.
Establish unit-level design, implementation, and testing strategies.
Support integration, testing, and timely debugging of software.
Develop and manage functional blocks for use across multiple platforms.
Conduct hands-on debugging using lab equipment and JTAG.
Develops automated scripts on software, finds and implements SW and HW solutions to resolve silicon bugs, and supports innovations in processes and tools.
Collaborates with architecture, verification, software, and tools teams to drive silicon failure debug across functional, electrical, power, performance, and area parameters.
Review and contribute to specifications and architecture design.
Create and execute end-to-end validation plans for bare-metal and OS-based systems.
Lead and mentor a global team of FPGA validation engineers. Contribute as an individual contributor while providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Guide and develop junior validation engineers and interns.
Salary Range
$144.k - $209.1k USD
We are seeking someone with 10+ years of experience in architecture, implementation, and/or validation with a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering (or related fields) with experience in one or more of the following:
ARM SoCs or similar embedded development environments.
Knowledge of the latest ARM cores.
Expertise in system/platform development, hardware (hard IP, FPGA, SoC), firmware, or software. Proficiency with interface controllers like Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 OTG, USB 3.1, I2C, I3C, SPI and UART.
Knowledge of cache coherency protocols. Experience with memory controllers and DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR4, and LPDDR5 DRAMs.
Excellent debugging skills and ability to resolve design issues promptly.
Familiarity with interconnects and Network-on-Chip (NoC) architectures. Experience with embedded systems, RTL design knowledge (Verilog/VHDL and SystemVerilog) Competence with configuration management and version control

Perform synthesis, place-and-route (P&R), and generate FPGA images.
