We are seeking a dynamic Channel Marketing Manager in the West to help our teams provide best-in-class consumer-centric experiences across APL’s western estates, enhancing long-term, high value brand relationships. This role will drive consumer-facing marketing initiatives that will build equity and drive traffic through consistent consumer engagement. This role can be work from home however willingness to visit estates close by in Kelowna and Oliver will be required.
In this role you will be responsible for
Providing marketing support and insights that will create growth in tasting room visitation, wine club memberships, E-comm revenue and social media followers at the Okanagan Wineries (BHEW, TCV, Sandhill and GMEW).
Developing all wine club, E-comm and social media content, taking a holistic view of our Okanagan properties from Vineyard to shelf, and representing the interests of B2B where appropriate in the channels.
Managing media relations related to food and wine lifestyle, travel and tourism, and for increasing our presence print and online publications, including user-generated review sites.
We Are Looking For a Teammate With
Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent, combined with three to five (3-5) years brand/hospitality marketing experience
Retail marketing experience an asset
Exceptional communication skills; a proven track record in achieving results
Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities; ability to work productively with various work styles
Proficiency in online and offline marketing tools and ability to work within tight timelines
Enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment and able to manage competing demands
This teammate will
Develop and execute consumer-centric experiences across APL’s western estates, ensuring alignment with the brand’s long-term strategic goals.
Spearhead consumer-facing marketing initiatives that enhance brand equity and drive increased visitor traffic.
Foster strong, value-driven relationships with consumers, advancing APL's reputation as a leader in the industry.
Implement consistent consumer engagement strategies that maintain and grow brand loyalty.
Collaborate with the brand marketing team to report on progress, insights, and outcomes from marketing campaigns.
Utilize analytics and market research to inform and optimize marketing strategies.
Report directly to the Brand Marketing, providing regular updates and integrating feedback into marketing practices.
Create promotional programs (Radio, Print, digital) to drive traffic to the Estates, support wine club membership growth and to sell tickets for events.
Work with local hospitality partners to strengthen/create partnerships that leverage their guests/traffic in the tasting rooms.
Works with local tourism associations to ensure that the Wineries gain maximum benefit from winery related programming from those entities.
Support the Estate teams to develop E-comm offers building upon an established calendar; support and pursue 3rd party E-comm opportunities.
Develop all winery POS collateral to support sales of wine, wine clubs and accessories.
Develop promotional collateral for events.
Responsible for development and maintenance of on-site property signage.
Responsible for the execution of consumer surveys and all on-site research programs
Create new marketing initiatives and partnerships that will benefit the wineries and DTC (wine clubs, E-comm, direct sales via 3rd parties)
Responsible for creating an annual marketing plan to drive all revenue streams (experiences, retail wine sales, wine club growth, e-comm) then tracking/evaluating results; also responsible for ad hoc reactive marketing tactics.
Manage the budget for the western estate, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact and efficiency.
Ensures a safe and healthy work environment through effective operation of the Health and safety Program, and Joint H&S committee
Assures the safety of all employees through compliance with EH&S regulations and maintains an attitude that all accidents are preventable
