We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior IT Development Manager to lead our software development team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex software projects. This role is pivotal in driving our technological vision and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing development team.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Collaborate with senior leadership to inform and influence the technology roadmap.
Align development initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.
Identify and implement new technologies to enhance team and product offerings.
Project Management
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.
Technical Oversight
Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team.
Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and security.
Oversee the integration of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines into development methods.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Management, QA, and operations teams.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Facilitate effective collaboration between development and other departments.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
Drive initiatives for process improvements and technological advancements.
Encourage a learning environment through workshops and training sessions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of experience in software development.
5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to our tech stack (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
Leadership Skills
Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills
Experience with AI and Machine Learning technologies is a plus.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
