Job Summary: We are seeking experienced DevOps Engineers/Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to manage and maintain critical self-hosted infrastructure, primarily GitLab and Vault, running on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) in Google Cloud and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of cloud-based infrastructure, implementing best practices for cloud security, automation, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Kubernetes Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize GKE and AKS clusters for high availability and performance.
• Cloud Infrastructure:
• Google Cloud: GKE, Google Cloud Load Balancing, IAM, Stackdriver, and Cloud Storage.
• Microsoft Azure: AKS, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Monitor, Active Directory, and Key Vault.
• GitLab & Vault Administration: Maintain, upgrade, secure, and manage self-hosted GitLab and HashiCorp Vault.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate provisioning using Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent tools.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Implement and optimize GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Monitoring & Logging: Configure and manage Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, Azure Monitor, and ELK stack.
• Networking & Security: Implement security policies, access controls, and manage DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor systems, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and test backup strategies for cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, security protocols, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including managing production workloads on GKE and AKS.
• 3+ years of Google Cloud experience with a focus on GKE, IAM, Stackdriver, and Cloud Storage.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Azure experience with expertise in AKS, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Key Vault.
• Strong experience with GitLab & Vault administration in a self-hosted environment.
• Expertise in Terraform or Pulumi for cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Deep understanding of networking, load balancing, and security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Bash, Python, or Go.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
• Experience with service meshes (e.g., Istio) and container security tools.
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance).
• Background in high-availability and disaster recovery setups.
• Experience with on-prem to cloud migrations.
