We are seeking an experienced and service-minded consultant to join a dynamic team and support our retail client’s digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the WSO2 API Manager environment while driving proactive improvements and innovations. Your extensive background with WSO2 API Manager, coupled with a strong understanding of backend development and system integration, will be key in ensuring seamless API-driven solutions that meet our client’s evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
WSO2 API Manager Administration:
Configure, manage, and optimize API gateway instances using WSO2 API Manager.
Implement and enforce API governance, security, and lifecycle management best practices.
Proactive Service & Support:
Act as the primary point of contact for API-related inquiries, ensuring a service-minded and client-focused approach.
Identify potential issues before they impact service delivery and propose proactive solutions.
System Integration & Backend Support:
Collaborate with development teams to integrate backend systems with API services.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot API integrations to support retail applications and processes.
Technical Leadership & Innovation:
Advise on and implement microservice architectures, containerization, and cloud deployments.
Contribute to the development of scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance business operations.
Mentor and support team members on best practices in API management and backend development.
Key Competencies and Experience:
Expertise in WSO2 API Manager:
Proven, long-term experience in implementing and managing WSO2 API Manager in complex environments.
Backend Development Background:
Solid experience with backend development, ideally with a strong understanding of languages such as .NET, Java, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with microservices, RESTful API design, and integration patterns.
Cloud & Containerization Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Data & Monitoring Tools:
Experience with data-driven development practices, and using monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Kibana) to ensure optimal performance.
Retail Domain Experience (Preferred):
Previous exposure to retail environments or projects involving consumer-facing applications is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Highly service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive problem-solver with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
