QA Engineer is independent and self-organized individual contributor who works in autonomous team. As a QA Engineer, you will work on ensuring quality of team’s artifacts as well as contribute to QA Strategy of whole team. In particular, you will be responsible for automating all aspects of our delivery to make sure the expected level of quality is reached. You will be supporting the definition of the QA strategy for API team and enforcing the API team as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Defining and improving QA strategy, and it’s execution in development team.
Design and implement Test Automation within API team
Ensuring that the development team adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities for the project to the team key stakeholders.
Focus on continuous QA process improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques and best test automation practices.
Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact in the team.
Driving and improving the QA Chapter in areas of automated testing, agile testing, framework, strategy and discipline.
Work with other QA engineers, Developers and the Tech Leads to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.
Provide technical expertise within Test Automation and Quality Assurance.
Be accountable for the test automation project, mentor, and provide leadership to the other QA engineers.
Maintain and improve existing test automation framework and CI/CD pipelines for the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

At least 3 year experience in QA Lead/Test Automation Engineer or similar role
Participate in refining acceptance criteria together with business to maximize test coverage
Support and coach the team to integrate quality in all they do (unit tests, user story writing, tests automation)
Contribute relentlessly to quality improvements in your team: solution design, workflow, monitoring
Practical knowledge of any programming language, preferably in scripting language area
Ability to build and maintain custom Test Automation Frameworks
Understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques and Built-In-Quality
Not only know how to create test cases but also how to anticipate what is needed to execute them
Practical knowledge of working with REST APIs (incl. extensive test automation experience)
Experience with Git
Understand the operation of IT systems and how the communication between the mobile applications and the backend as well as external systems works
An assertive, pro-active person who thinks analytically
Detail oriented with good time management skills and ability to fit in a fast paced agile environment
Experience working in agile development environment

What could be useful:

Knowledge of Ruby (our test automation framework is built on it)
Practical knowledge of Docker and Test Automation Setup integration in CI/CD pipelines
Contribution to open-source projects, and personal GitHub projects
Experience operating large-scale, distributed, business-critical systems.
Very good understanding of Version Control, Docker, Cloud, CI/CD, administration and internals
Practical knowledge of KIBANA, JIRA, XRAY(JIRA PLUGIN for execution tests)
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Experience with BDD
