Overview
The intern will work under the guidance of one or multiple senior level statisticians on research project(s) closely related to the pharmaceutical industry and our clinical trials. Potential topics may include longitudinal data modeling, survival analysis, joint modeling, causal inferences, Bayesian methods, AI/machine learning etc. They will also be exposed to the drug development process and post marketing research. The research work will be presented at the departmental seminar and additionally, may lead to peer-reviewed publications.

- Statistical methodologies in clinical trial data analysis and data visualization
- Statistical methodologies in observational / real world data analysis and data visualization
- Use of AI / machine learning methodologies in clinical and real world data modeling
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in a graduate-level curriculum leading to a PhD in statistics/biostatistics
- Have completed at least two full years of graduate study prior to the start of the internship
- Solid understanding of statistical inference
- Strong programming skills in R and/or SAS a must;
- Experience in complex statistical modeling under the real-world observational setting is a plus
- Experiences in AI/machine learning is a plus
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to scheduled start date
