Data / BI Analyst

DP World, the fast-growing logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is seeking a Data / BI Analyst to join our Team in Poland.

As a Data Analyst, you will focus on Power BI and Databricks, leveraging your analytical skills to design, develop and maintain robust data systems. You will understand business requirements and translate them into key performance indicator (KPI) measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI, experience with data modelling, machine learning, and understanding of Databricks.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all BI reports
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver customized solutions
• Perform ad hoc data analysis to support business decision-making
• Identify trends and patterns in data to provide strategic recommendations
• Communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders
• Implement machine learning models to enhance data analysis and predictive capabilities
• Work with data scientists to integrate machine learning solutions into business processes.
• Design and develop data models to support reporting and analytics
• Ensure data models align with business requirements
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data systems, processes, and models
• Document business requirements, data sources, and data transformations
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders
• Build and maintain robust ETL processes to transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring data quality and integrity
• Possible occasional business travel, mainly to Germany.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards
• Strong understanding of Power BI features, including DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights
• Experience in performing ad hoc analysis and presenting findings to stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics
• Knowledge of Databricks architecture and its integration with other data tools
• Experience implementing and working with machine learning models
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their application in business contexts
• Expertise in designing and developing scalable data models to support reporting and analytics
• Understanding of data quality, integrity, and security best practices
• Ability to document business requirements, data sources, and data transformations clearly
• Strong ability to understand and translate business requirements into key performance indicator (KPI) measures
• Experience working with Azure for cloud-based data solutions and services
• Fluent English – additional languages are a bonus, in particular German.
