Program Overview
About The Role
Peraton's Procurement Organization is seeking a Procurement, Lead Associate. The Senior Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Oversees purchases of materials, equipment, products, parts, services, and supplies necessary for on-going operations.
Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of materials, equipment, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process.
Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s).
Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
Maintains detailed records of goods and services ordered and received.
Reviews, evaluates, and approves specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
Locates vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and consults with them to determine product availability and terms of sales. Represents company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
Qualifications
Requires 5+ years of experience with BS/BA or 4 years with an Associates Degree.
9+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted for degree.
Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
Experience with Federal and/or DoD supply chain management policies and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization.
Detail oriented, problem solver who works well under pressure.
Customer service oriented professional.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with government lifecycle management.
Experience with managing budgets.

Details
Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
