Role: Billing & Claims Specialist (India-Based)

Work Arrangement: Work from Home

Location: India

Schedule: Night shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for patients.
• Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate patient billing records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Coordinate with therapists, providers, and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation for billing.
• Post payments and reconcile accounts to ensure proper tracking of revenue.
• Stay up to date with changes in insurance policies, billing codes, and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients with billing inquiries and payment options.

Qualification and requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and claims processing, preferably in mental health
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Strong understanding of insurance guidelines, including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with mental health billing and credentialing.
• Familiarity with insurance appeals and prior authorizations
