Jr Mainframe Support- Remote

This is a remote position - the candidate can be located anywhere in Costa Rica

About this role

Roles in this Job Family are responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications running in mainframe environments. This includes but is not limited to, monitoring job executions, resolving incidents, analyzing system logs, managing batch processing, and ensuring application availability. Additionally, they collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize performance, implement updates, and maintain operational stability

What you’ll do

Provide technical support for mainframe applications, responding to incidents and assisting in issue resolution.

Monitor batch jobs, system logs, and application performance to ensure smooth operations.

Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues as needed.

Collaborate with teams to resolve application-related challenges and meet business needs.

Assist in maintaining documentation, including incident reports and troubleshooting guidelines.

Continuously develop technical skills related to mainframe environments and application support.

Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issues.

Adhere to best practices and standard procedures in mainframe application support.

Who you are

Required Qualifications

1+ years in IT or support

Knowledge of Cisco, Security, or OS

Experience working with clients.

Knowledge of ticketing tools

Working under pressure

Availability to work on call and on weekend

Advance English Level

Preferred Qualifications

ITIL Certification / CompTIA / Security + / Cisco Certifications is a plus
