The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

This role leads the Crisis Management program globally. This role focusses on Crisis Management preparedness and rapid response to crisis events, safeguarding employees and ensuring the continuity of operations. The successful candidate will have skills and experience researching, benchmarking, implementing and continuously improving programs within large, complex organizations. This role works collaboratively with department peers and stakeholders to support and improved crisis preparedness and response capabilities through structured risk management, project management support, consultation and program management to globally. Delivers value through risk management programs to business partners by leveraging resources, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining improvements and implementing change.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees 1-2 high impact enterprise security programs which provide risk mitigation across all threat or asset categories.
  • Leads projects, programs, and events with high degree of complexity. Maintains understanding of mitigation cost and seeks to improve cost effectiveness across ESBC mitigation efforts.
  • May execute standard work on complex tactical mitigation duties.
  • Provides structured risk management practices to identify and mitigate risk through a strategic lens, involving critical stakeholders, over a large threat or asset scope, in a routine and systematic basis to reduce trends in risks.
  • May conduct continual cost analysis of mitigation programs to assess effectiveness. Identifies business processes to review.
  • Performs highly complex research by gathering insights from senior business leaders to better understand the appropriate mitigation strategies for a specific market or region.
  • Regularly interacts with senior leaders and executives to recommend risk mitigation measures and influence decision making.
  • Influences peers and stakeholders in areas of Executive Protection, Event Risk Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Safety.
  • Oversees and maintains critical relationships with vendors.
  • Specializes in a scope of protected assets that may cover all or most of ESBC assets protected.
  • Has direct interaction and oversight over vendor account management and senior leadership teams.
  • Serves as a formal or informal mentor for more junior members of the team and works to help improve team resiliency.
  • Assists in onboarding and training efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s Degree in related field plus 5 plus years of relevant experience within crisis management
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and assess potentially problematic situations, make practical and logical judgments, and bring issues to resolution
  • Ability to work nights/weekends as situations require
  • Preferred certifications: CBCP, CEM, CCMP and CRM
