About the Role
As the Senior Director of Account Management, your primary focus is fostering the satisfaction of both the marketing team members under your guidance and the clients your team serves. The key metric of your success lies in your team's ability to retain clients and grow revenue.
Demonstrating your expertise in delivering the Scorpion client experience is vital. This involves treating each team member as a client, understanding their individual goals, providing real-time coaching, and maintaining consistent and prompt communication and feedback.
Collaboration with the VP of Account Management in your vertical is critical. You will work closely to understand their vision and formulate a strategic plan for each team member and brand to effectively implement that vision.

You will play a pivotal role in leading and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for the brands you serve. You are responsible for driving the success of the brands on your pod. You are responsible for ensuring the proper setup and continuous evaluation of campaign strategies for each client on your team to guarantee ongoing success. Coaching your Account Managers on this aspect is crucial. You should also be seen as a role model and leader within your business unit, showcasing a positive attitude and making contributions to the team and overall Scorpion culture.

What Your Success Will Look Like
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals dedicated to the success of our home services clients. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback consistently and regularly. Exemplify leadership across the larger home services team, including assisting in strategy, sharing of ideas, and creating presentations.
- Team Management: Ensure adherence to Scorpion client communication expectations for calls and emails. Drive goal achievement towards team and individual goals, targets, and other account management activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to create brand strategies that you deliver to the client.
- Home Services Partner Ownership: Foster strong relationships with both corporate partners and influential home services providers by understanding and addressing their specific marketing needs.
- Escalations: Support escalations on your team as needed, using these opportunities to train your teammates on how to handle similar issues in the future.
- Training: Directly train and coach Account Managers on following the playbook, including calls, emails, campaign reviews, de-escalations, and creating and executing strategies.
- Ongoing Education: Ensure that your team and clients are aware of any industry updates that could affect their campaigns and that strategies are created and executed accordingly.
- Reporting: Utilize data and reports available to track and report on team progress toward goals to upper management.
Who You Are And What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in account management or client service roles in a Digital Marketing Agency (or similar industry)
- 5+ years of experience in leading and coaching a team
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools
- Develops and implements strategic account management plans that result in measurable business growth
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, leading, and inspiring high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients, team members, and executive leadership
- Proficiency in CRM systems and technology tools that support service delivery and client management
- Adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment, mastering any internal systems quickly
- Coaches and trains individuals of all levels, driving clarity on performance standards and the knowledge to succeed in an account management role
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapts to changing priorities
- Demonstrates strong executive presence and presentation, collaborating with senior leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for the account management department and track progress toward achieving them.

Compensation
We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.
- The base salary is $126,000 (entry-level) - 140,000 (highly experienced). This position's base salary + annual variable is $20,000 (entry-level) - $30,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary + annual variable range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
