We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager that will play a central role in the continued growth of MNTN. This is a critical position and will be an important role as the company continues its rapid growth and we continue to build a scalable, world-class accounting organization. You will be a critical member of the accounting team, helping to ensure compliance as to current laws, accounting principles and company policies.
 
What you’ll do
  • Responsible for day-to-day financial reporting process, including timely and accurate drafting of investor reporting, press releases, and other required regulatory reporting, as needed.
  • Assist with the financial close process and regularly examine financial statements to ensure accurate results and timely reporting, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, P&L and balance sheet flux and variance analysis, etc.
  • Assist with ensuring accounting policies and practices adhere to current laws and regulations, including conform to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), including analysis of technical accounting issues, including ad hoc technical accounting analysis, as necessary.
  • Stay informed of industry changes and current accounting regulations and practices and assist with coordinating the implementation of adopted standards.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of procedures, policies and internal control systems and embrace proper policies for financial reporting, including assistance with the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
  • Assist with scaling and optimizing accounting systems and processes, including identifying opportunities to automate or streamline processes and executing planned automation and technological advances, including FRP software (e.g. Workiva).
  • Other duties and ad-hoc tasks and projects.
What you’ll bring
  • CPA Certification, MBA or Master of Accountancy
  • 7+ years of Accounting experience, including 4+ at Big 4 accounting firm and SOX experience (SOX implementation experience preferred) and 2+ years in-house in SEC reporting role
  • Strong knowledge of key US GAAP accounting topics including, but not limited to: revenue recognition, stock based compensation, internal use software, goodwill and intangibles, fair value measurements, income taxes, and SEC regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of professional accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and supplementary systems such as SAP Concur, Equity Edge Online, Carta, Paylocity/Rippling, Workiva, and FloQast
