Job description

This is a remote position.

Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday; 7:00AM - 4:00PM Alberta Canada Time

Responsibilities: 

·  Utilize SAP software to record, process, and maintain accounting transactions.

  • Process both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

·  Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

·  Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data entry in SAP, reconciling accounts as necessary.

·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.

·  Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.

·  Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.

·  Generate ad-hoc reports using Excel spreadsheets to analyze financial data.

·  Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

·  Participate in audits and assist with audit preparation.




Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably using SAP software.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP for recording and maintaining financial transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
  • Advanced Excel skills for generating reports and financial analysis.

Analytical & Compliance Knowledge:

  • Ability to reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial data entry.
  • Understanding of budget preparation and financial monitoring.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Experience assisting in audits and compliance activities.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
