Ancillary Governance Manager

Location: London, Leicester or Bexhill (hybrid, one day per week on site)

Job Details

  • The primary focus of this position is to support our ancillary strategy through effective management and application of robust governance.
  • This will involve ensuring that our products continue to meet regulatory requirements and deliver good customer outcomes, and value both commercially and for our customers.
  • You will be responsible for delivering fair and value act in the best interests of our customers.
  • Day to day, you will be responsible for he development and application of an effective and robust governance process for Ancillary portfolio aligned to Hasting’s product governance framework and new regulations for new products, annual product reviews and value assessments.
  • You will regularly monitor our KPIs to identify potential consumer outcomes at risk and propose actions to combat said risk.
  • You will also take the lead in liaising with our external partners and underwriters to ensure products continue to meet regulatory requirements and deliver good customer outcomes.

Skills we would love you to have   

  • We are looking for an experienced Insurance practitioner with excellent knowledge of FCA regulations. This includes things like PROD and ICOBs, with the ability to take a pragmatic approach to application.
  • This means that experience working in the highly regulated general insurance industry is also a must.
  • With the focus of this role on our ancillary products, strong experience in Product Governance / Management is another big part of what we are looking for.
  • from a personality stand point, we'd love someone who has drive, ambition, and the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks. A hands-on approach is key.
  • A large part of this job is also stakeholder management so extensive experience here would also be a big positive.
