Summary of the Job:

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Technology to lead and manage a core team responsible for enabling and supporting Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Mulesoft within a federated support model. This leader will oversee a team of ten, including system administrators, developers, and lead developers, while partnering with multiple business groups to drive innovation, operational excellence, data management, and platform enablement. Reporting to the Enterprise Platforms leader, this role is critical in aligning technology capabilities with business outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

About This Role:

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Team Leadership & Talent Strategy:
o    Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of ten, including recruitment, professional development, and succession planning.
o    Develop and execute a comprehensive talent strategy to attract, retain, and grow top technology talent.
•    Platform Ownership & Enablement:
o    Oversee the administration, development, and optimization of Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Mulesoft platforms to meet business needs.
o    Collaborate with business partners to innovate and enhance platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
•    Operational Excellence:
o    Improve and reinforce practices for platform governance, data management, and performance monitoring within a federated support model.
o    Drive standardization, best practices, and automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Strategic Collaboration & Vendor Management:
o    Partner with peers in the Enterprise Platforms team to align on strategic initiatives and ensure cohesive support across platforms.
o    Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions that meet their goals.
o    Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, service level agreements, and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with business needs and technology strategy.
•    Financial Management:
o    Develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and cost efficiencies.
o    Oversee financial forecasting, resource allocation, and funding approvals.
o    Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to ensure proper financial planning and reporting.
 

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

 

Qualifications & Experience:
•    Proven experience (5+ years) in technology leadership, with a preferred focus on Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and/or Mulesoft.
•    Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing technology teams.
•    Strong understanding of platform architecture, development, and administration.
•    Experience working in a federated support model with multiple business group stakeholders.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
•    Strategic mindset with a track record of driving innovation and operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience in the financial services industry or similarly complex, regulated environments.
•    Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
•    Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Marketing Cloud certifications).

Compensation:

 

Compensation range (base pay): $133,975.00-$227,758.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
