Senior Azure Cloud Engineer at Nordcloud

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands.

Your daily work:

• Taking on technical challenges such as implementing CI/CD pipelines and deploying cloud resources, migrating workloads, gathering requirements with the client or applying new policies to a landing zone
• Delivering innovative results that make a difference. Infrastructure-as-Code is at the core of everything we do
• Working alongside specialized service lines—including Migration, Managed Cloud, Foundation, and others—where collaboration, active knowledge sharing, and mutual support drive innovation and success
• Advising our customers on how to adopt the best possible service composition of public cloud-based tools and (DevOps) practices
• Contributing to the development of internal automation tools and products owned by your team
• Supporting, coaching and assisting other engineers, cloud architects, and administrators. In our large team of experts there are always people with whom you can share knowledge and experiences
• Building long-term relationships with our clients as they mature in their cloud journey. The infrastructure you support and the code you write will power some of the most influential services in the Netherlands and abroad. Get to know some of our customer case examples

Your skills and attributes of success:

• Strong Azure experience, including Entra ID
• Solid experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Experience with automation and laC tools (Terraform, Bicep/ARM, or similar)
• Container technologies experience (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Self-organized way of working combined with strong team player skills
• Motivation to continuously learn new technologies and the ambition to grow in your field of expertise
• Fluent communication skills in English

Your super-powers (we’d consider any of these as a big plus):

• Fluent communication skills in Dutch
• Previous experience in working directly with customers or being a consultant
• Experience in working in international environments with geographically dispersed teams
• Command-line and shell scripting specifically PowerShell
• Experience in backend programming with languages like C#, Java, Go, or similar
• Other scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python)
• Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting
• Experience in AWS or Google Cloud
