Description

The Escrow Analysis Specialist is designated to perform the daily administration of the Escrow Analysis activities for UHM.  The Specialist is responsible for adhering to the quality and quantitative goals of the department as established by Sr Management. This includes growing one’s knowledge to be able to understand the complexities of all inputs related to any escrow transactions and their source with a deep understanding of the functions that impact the annual and out-of-cycle escrow analysis processing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates leadership to all partners that are engaged with adherence to the UHM Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain daily productivity as established with SLAs to include volume of tasks, measured against goals, and compared to industry standards.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of posted Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist in onboarding and on-the-job training of newly hired partners.
  • The escrow analysis functions require the specialist to understand all inputs to the escrow analysis process such as Tax payments for escrowed loans, timing and identifying exception items that adversely impact the escrow analysis. 
  • Knowledge of escrow waiver policies as established by UHM.  
  • Working knowledge of Investor Guidelines, Regulatory Agencies, RESPA, Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, State, and other Federal guidelines.  
  • Insurance whether Hazard, Flood, or MIP or PMI is an input that may escrow analysis.   The specialist must learn and understand escrow activities that may change the escrow payment and the impact on upcoming escrow analysis payments. 
  • The Specialist must work as a team member eager to assist in any capacity of tasks asked to perform.
  • The specialist must be able to communicate the escrow analysis process with customers to de-escalate to solve the problem.
  • The Escrow Analysis Specialist must always perform at a high level of service to UHM customers, and ensure positive customer satisfaction when performing the duties assigned, and/or ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Execute other duties and special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of experience in a mortgage servicing functional department with demonstrated accomplishments of contributions to continuous improvements.
  • Multiple mortgage servicing department experience preferred

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and technical report writing skills.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient using systems required for the role assigned.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates commitment to and accepts responsibility for their work.
