We are currently seeking a Aspen IP.21 Support Engineer, fully remote, Canada only.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Aspen IP.21 support engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance support of the AspenTech IP.21 historian system, ensuring seamless data collection, storage and retrieval to meet operational requirements.

Key responsibilities:
System support and maintenance:

Monitor and maintain the Aspen IP.21 system to ensure high availability and reliability.
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system and application issue.
Apply system patches, updates and upgrades as required.

Data management:

Configure data points, tags, and connections to integrate with plant equipment and control systems.
Ensure accurate and timely collection, storage and reporting of operational data.
Optimize data storage for performance and efficiency.

Performance optimization:

Analyze system performance and implement enhancements to improve throughput and reliability.
Collaborate with process engineer and IT teams to align IP 21 functionality with operational needs.
User Support and Training:
Provide technical support to end user for data queries, reporting and dashboard creation.
Train stakeholders on system capabilities and functionalities.
Documentation and reporting:
Maintain documentation related to system architecture, configurations and troubleshooting
General regular performance and activity reports for management review.

Qualifications and skills:

5+ years of experience with AspenTech IP.21 historian platforms with at least one end to end implementation knowledge.
Strong knowledge of data integration, Tag configuration and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with SQL
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Experience with reporting tools Aspen Process Explorer.
Knowledge of Aspen IP21, Aspen Cloud Connect, Data Historian A1PE, Aspen Process explorer, Aspen SQL Plus, Aspen Cal, CIMIO server, IP21 Administrator.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
