  • Your Responsibilities:
  • You will oversee data-intensive projects in Pharma and BioTech, focusing on clinical trials. You will ensure client success, team satisfaction, and Appsilon’s growth.

  • Guiding Customers during the project
  • Advising on the release process
  • Advising how to achieve impact
  • Challenging Customer plans to find the optimal approach
  • Escalating risks on time

  • Ensuring Customer satisfaction
  • Superpleasing -  exceeding client expectations by delivering exceptional service beyond the agreed scope. 
  • Having a deep understanding of Customer goals within the project, we are working on
  • Understanding how Customer measures the business impact of the project
  • Providing Customers with the best service experience

  • Building strong relationships with the Customer
  • Ensuring that a Customer has confidence that you understand their business needs
  • Building long-term relationships and trust by surprising clients with added value, proactive insights, and personalized attention.
  • Being able to discuss and address specific technical issues
  • Sharing your prior experience in the clinical trials area
  • Having regular meetings with client and discuss their challenges
  • Visiting clients on-site

  • Ensuring that Customer is thriving thanks to our project and wants to continue working together
  • Developing a perfect understanding of the customer organization and decision-making progress 
  • Direct Management
  • You will be a direct manager of a number of individual contributors and less senior delivery managers
  • Providing career support and finding opportunities to grow
  • Identifying growing talents and underperformers and acting on it in a timely manner.

  • Project/Product Management
  • If there is a need, you will take over the role of a Project/Product Manager who works hands-on in the project, by managing the backlog, handling communication with the customer, clarifying requirements and supporting software engineers.


  • Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role or at the top tier consultancy (BCG, Bain, AT Kerney, McKinsey)
  • Domain knowledge, meeting at least 3 of the following:
  • -Good understanding of fundamental concepts in molecular biology and bioinformatics:
    -Familiarity with software and tools used for data analysis in clinical trials
    -Familiarity with clinical trials data standards (CDISC)
    -Familiarity with data flow in research and clinical trials and how data is generated, processed, and visualized.
    -Extra point for hands-on experience with the project
    -Proven track record of successfully delivered projects for Pharma/BioTech
  • Proven track record of successfully delivered projects
  • Project/product management experience (Product Owner, Project Leader, Project Manager, Project Coordinator roles)
  • Experience with client relationship management/sales
  • Understanding of modern web development process
  • Experience in mentoring other people (not necessarily software engineers)
  • You’re okay with traveling to clients (2-3 times per year)
  • Experienced in remote work, likes remote-first working culture
  • English C1 (close to native speaker)
  • Communication is your strong point. You like and know how to talk to people, but you also know how to listen effectively and remember information. You are characterized by openness, patience, emotional intelligence, and high personal culture. 
  • Proactive, driven personality, striving for continuous improvement of your performance
  • Your time zone makes working with European and American clients possible.


  • Within 3 months, you will:
  • Manage the delivery of 1 project for Customers developed by teams of 2-3 engineers
  • You will be learning the way we work by:
  • -Participating in the Talent Forge activities (workshops, training, talks)
    - Onboarding trainingsMentorship from the Senior Executives
  • Manage 3-4 individual contributors (team members or contractors)
  • You will be learning the way we support software engineers as managers by:
  • -Participating in the weekly manager's meetings to share ideas, challenges, and solutions

    Within 6 months, you will:
  • Manage the delivery of 1-3 projects for Customers (depending on their sizes)
  • Manage up to 10 individual contributors
  • Contribute to the internal initiatives that make our system work, for example:
  • -Performance reviews
    -Onboarding App Sprints
  • Still getting mentorship and growing - training through the Personal Development Budget, 1-1s with the Director of Delivery, Head of Engineering, and Senior Delivery Managers.
