Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer! 

Shell Recharge Solutions is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a member of the Quality Engineering team and will work as part of the Shell Recharge Solutions media technology business. 

This is an opportunity to make an impact in a number of ways to our charging stations and customer experiences by ensuring top quality metrics are met across our media, cloud and stations stacks.  

We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will own the test automation framework building, planning, preparation and execution. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to conceive, design and develop innovative consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. 

What you’ll do: 

In your first 90 days, you will 

• Ramp up on our various media and station products & services, learn about the industry, the different interconnected teams and their processes. 
• Research and stand-up the most suitable test automation framework from scratch, preferably matching the same development tech stack. 
• Define automation strategy & cases in a programmatic manner. 

After twelve months, you will have accomplished 

• The test coverage you will build with the team should free up QAE testing time by roughly ~70%-80%. 
• Defining & incorporating automated test strategies into the delivery process, leading to fast and continuous releases. 
• Building test software that exposes defects in production level code as well as at the component and feature integration perspective. 
• Proposing new improvements to our existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team’s speed, quality and efficiency. 

What We’re Looking For:  

Basic Qualifications 

• Degree in Computer Science
• Proven 5+ years of experience (as an SDET, developer, or strong Automation Engineer) creating automation frameworks and tools to support test automation 
• Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience developing product test harnesses – minimum 5 years experience
• Industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to make the best decisions 
• Ability to perform manual testing while identifying opportunities for automation 
• Good analytical skills 
• QA concepts and methodology 
• Working closely with development and business teams 
• Excellence in communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Experience with Continuous Integration (creating and running pipelines) 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Mentoring/training the engineering community on complex technical issues 
• Experience with Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
