Market Access Ireland Summer Student

 The summer student will work on the following project to support the Rapid Review submission to the NCPE

Preparation of the Rapid Review for a dermatology indication for a key asset

The market access and health economics teams in Sanofi is planning to submit a Rapid Review for an upcoming dermatology indication for a key product currently reimbursed for other indications. The student will draft a Rapid Review submission incorporating epidemiology, current treatment landscape, key clinical data, likely market uptake and resulting budget impact.

The summer student placement will work closely with the Ireland and UK teams with the option for mainly remote working with some Dublin office attendance and possible UK meetings.

The market access and health economics teams in Sanofi is planning to submit a Rapid Review for an upcoming dermatology indication for a key product currently reimbursed for other indications. The student will draft a Rapid Review submission incorporating epidemiology, current treatment landscape, key clinical data, likely market uptake and resulting budget impact.

The summer student placement will work closely with the Ireland and UK teams with the option for mainly remote working with some Dublin office attendance and possible UK meetings..

The Market Access placement student will work closely with the Irish Head of Market Access as well as the UK Health Economics and Value and Access (HEVA) and medical teams to develop a Rapid Review submission.

This will ultimately help support the reimbursement of Sanofi medicines within Ireland.

Main responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of the HEVA team conduct research in line with their course requirements
  • Gather the evidence required to establish the epidemiology and current treatment pathway primarily through desk research
  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop a plan to address them
  • Gain the relevant clinical knowledge for the product indication working with the medical team to assist in understanding and preparation of the clinical section of the submission
  • Prepare a budget impact analysis using the NCPE BIM template to incorporate into the Rapid Review submission
  • Draft the Rapid Review submission
  • Attend all required HEVA and brand meetings
  • The student will have the opportunity to experience aspects of cross-functional practice within the pharmaceutical industry and is expected to work independently with supervisor guidance throughout the project.  Several opportunities to present study findings throughout will be available, including a formal presentation to the health outcomes team. The project will allow development of writing, technical and presentation techniques.

With the possibility of travel to our UK office the student will get some experience of pharma in the UK as well.
