Job description

Purpose of Position

We are looking for a highly motivated “IT Support Technician” to join our global team, which is spread across two headquarters in Berlin and London. As a crucial member of the “IT Support Team”, you will report to the “IT Support Team Lead” and responsible for offering top-notch assistance to all Awinners, resolving any IT-related issues they may face. Your commitment to delivering a customer-centric and efficient service will be key in this role.  

This job requires on-site presence and the opportunity for some exciting business trips to other Awin offices. 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • ​​Work with the “Global IT Support Team” to deliver high-quality IT support services across all Awin Offices, ensuring ticket resolution within SLAs.
  • ​Identify root causes of recurring issues and propose solutions for process improvement. 
  • ​Handle seamless onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, addressing their IT needs. This involves setting up hardware for new hires and retrieval and secure disposal of hardware for departing employees. 
  • ​Providing effective solutions for day-to-day software and hardware (Windows and MacOS) issues. 
  • ​Liaising with external hardware and software vendors as needed. 
  • ​Setting up and maintaining technology in meeting rooms and “All Hands” company events. 
  • ​Participate in a weekly rotation for on-site Support of the Week (SoW), delivering first-line assistance to users and addressing urgent technical issues. 

​Note: This role includes the responsibilities outlined above. Due to its evolving nature, the position offers IT professional development opportunities, including specialized knowledge acquisition and industry-standard certifications, in consultation with the manager.​ 

Skills & Expertise

  • ​​You have experience in IT, with proficiency in macOS, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Entra ID, Intune and other cloud platforms.  
  • ​Having experience working with IT Ticketing tools preferably JIRA. 
  • ​Well-organised, proficient in setting priorities and multitasking. 
  • ​Excellent customer service skills. 
  • ​Ability to work harmoniously and effectively on your own or as part of a team. 
  • ​Exceptionally good written and spoken English skills. ​
