The position: The Data Analyst will develop, implement, and maintain a Tableau environment while taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks. This role will work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations to optimize profitability, tenant satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute regular and ad hoc reports using Tableau.
  • Design and enhance dashboards that intuitively communicate complex metrics for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Perform analysis of property management KPIs (e.g., occupancy, rent growth, delinquency, turnover, maintenance costs).
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify the most relevant data points and visualizations that drive decision-making.
  • Present findings in clear, concise formats, translating analytical insights into real-world business context and recommendations.
  • Use statistical and predictive modeling techniques to anticipate trends in occupancy, rental rates, market demand, and other key metrics.
  • Partner with data engineering and other teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems (e.g., Yardi, RealPage).
  • Lead process improvement projects that streamline analytics workflows, reduce manual reporting, and automate recurring tasks.
  • Mentor junior analysts by sharing best practices, reviewing analytics outputs, and providing constructive feedback.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience may substitute for education.
  • Three years of experience in an analytics or business intelligence role, preferably in property management, real estate, or a related industry.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens, and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer

Work Environment:

  • This may be either a fully remote role or a hybrid role requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices at least four days a week. 
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
