Job description

NXP’s Radar System Solutions play an essential role in automotive ADAS, enhancing road safety and increasing driver convenience. NXP offers a scalable portfolio of highly integrated, safe, and secure product families—including MMICs, processors, and SoCs—that address increasing safety requirements and enable autonomous driving levels 2+ and beyond.

We are building the next generation of Radar System Solutions, with the Radar Front End (RFE) Software team playing a critical role in developing high-quality automotive embedded software. The RFE is a key component of the software system, responsible for transmitting, receiving, and processing RF signals before passing them to a backend processor. It significantly influences radar accuracy, range, and overall performance.

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software solutions for Automotive Radar. The candidate will have a strong technical background in RF systems, signal processing, and embedded software development, with experience in radar technologies and their integration into automotive platforms. This role requires close collaboration with hardware, systems engineering, and validation teams to deliver high-performance, safety-compliant radar systems that enable advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Skill set (Must have):

    • Strong C programming skills for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex M and A series)
    • Strong industry experience in designing and architecting embedded system solutions having memory and timing constraints.
    • Bare metal programming skills for high-performance real-time systems (development on FPGA, Emulators and silicon)
    • Knowledge and experience with Inter-processor communication software stack development
    • Implement & Optimize Signal Processing Algorithms on DSP Processor
    • Experience with Radar system( Analog domain, Digital domain )
    • Test and Measurement products experience like 3-4-5G, (Keysight/Tektronix/R&S).

Skill set (Good to have)

    • Experience with Signal Processing
    • Familiarity with Requirement management tools like ELM
    • Knowledge of AUTOSAR/ASPICE
    • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Git and defect management tools ( JIRA).

Education & Experience

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
    • 2 years of experience in embedded systems, development and integration. Experience in Automotive industry is a plus.

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract
