This position serves as the conduit between our 3PL Client Services team and shared services (SS) teams (other indirect suppliers as required). The individual will be responsible for partnering with multiple teams such as underwriting, contract management, accounts receivable, etc. to develop sustainable / scalable processes and create SLA’s that drive transparency and accountability. The manager will partner with respective teams to conduct regular cadence meetings, present performance-based metrics and facilitate action planning when needed.   This position is largely internally focused but may have client facing responsibility from time to time.

In addition to managing the shared services relationships, this individual will own the creation and monitoring of various business critical process flows (ie. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) flows between shared services and internal client services support teams). This will entail spending time with key stakeholders across the process to clearly map current flows/value streams, identify areas of opportunity, and develop solutions. The Manager, Business Operations will own and maintain all process/value stream maps, control mechanisms and SOP’s tied to the areas supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between the 3PL business and shared services teams
    • Create SLA’s between 3PL business & shared services teams to improve performance
    • Serve as conduit between 3PL Business and SS teams
    • Facilitate individual SS team cadence calls
    • Own relationships with respective shared services teams
    • Drive transparency between teams by providing regular business updates and pipeline forecasts to ensure all parties are aligned
  • Own internal workflows between all stakeholders to ensure efficiency that drives desirable client experience
    • Develop an overarching map of key communication channels and the tools that are used to facilitate this communication
    • Identify missing or broken processes
    • Develop solutions or identify new tools to close identified gaps and streamline overall internal communications
  • Performance monitoring & reporting for cross-functional team workflows
    • Develop monitoring tools that allow for management level visibility into request types and volumes across client services teams
    • Drive awareness around operational gaps within the business

Critical Skills/ Experience:

  • Ability to “see through the noise” of a problem and identify root cause, work collaboratively on a solution and assign key stakeholders to execute
  • Ability to gain trust and respect of teams that do not directly report
  • Highly collaborative
  • Must be results driven
  • Willingness to see both sides of a challenge when proposing a solution

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Preferred industry experience: third party logistics, pharmaceutical distribution, PBM, and/or distribution, finance or operations
  • Lean and Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Strong organization and management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well collaboratively in a team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$94,100 - $156,900
