Email Deliverability Specialist

About the Role

The Email Deliverability Specialist is responsible for ensuring high and stable email deliverability rates. The role requires analyzing existing infrastructure, managing domain and IP reputations, and developing long-term strategies to optimize deliverability.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor email deliverability performance metrics, detect trends, and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with international email regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
Manage sender reputation, handle blacklist monitoring, and implement feedback loops.
Work closely with marketing and IT teams to align email strategies with best practices.
Provide insights on email campaign effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Conduct regular audits of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and DNS configurations to maintain optimal email authentication.
Implement and oversee email warm-up strategies for new IPs/domains.

Requirements

Experience: At least 3 years in email marketing, email deliverability, or a related field.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC protocols.
- Hands-on experience with DNS configurations, reverse DNS, and email authentication settings.
- Proficiency with email deliverability monitoring tools (e.g., Postmaster Tools, Warmy, GlockApps, mail-tester).
- Familiarity with email infrastructure (dedicated/shared IPs, warming strategies).
- Experience working with CRM and ESP platforms (Customer.IO, SendGrid).
- Ability to analyze email metrics (open rates, bounce rates, spam complaints) and implement data-driven improvements.
Analytical & Reporting Skills:
- Experience with analytics platforms like PowerBI, Looker Studio.
- Capability to build dashboards and generate deliverability performance reports.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of email marketing regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
Automation & Scripting: Basic proficiency in Python for data analysis and API integrations is a plus.
