Sage is looking for a Marketing Manager to devise and implement marketing strategies using the full marketing mix that support the team’s objectives to drive brand impact, usage and citations, submissions, community building and engagement, and society satisfaction. Support and implement projects which contribute to the overall strategic objectives of the Journals Marketing team, contributing to maximum ROI.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and own the marketing strategy for journals products in your customer vertical , devising and implementing journals marketing plans and campaign plans as appropriate, utilising a range of digital or offline tools.
• Serve as a marketing expert and strategic advisor to both internal and external stakeholders, to communicate Sage’s journals marketing offering and inform on future endeavours.
• Play an active role in fostering a customer-focused culture within the team and use a variety of marketing channels to reach our customers at relevant touchpoints during the customer journey and enhance their overall experience.
• Innovate with new digital marketing tools and devise integrated digital marketing strategies to support the specified department goals.
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the business to maintain cross department relationships and facilitate effective projects and processes.
• Prepare and manage campaign schedules for assigned products or projects.
• Potential travel for company events 2-3 times a year, acting as representative of the company when dealing with potential/existing customers and editors
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Significant experience of product or channel marketing using the full marketing mix in a B2B or B2C setting.
• 3-5+ years proven experience in publishing or marketing preferred
• Strong communication skills including delivery of presentations and effective copywriting. • Demonstrable experience of project management skills.
• Ability to think critically to find solutions to problems and identify new approaches to existing processes.
• Ability to understand, analyse and draw conclusions from data, monitoring ROI
• Ability to work independently within tight time lines
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat preferred
