We are looking for a new Reservations Assistant. In this new role, you will manage all bookings, pre & post accommodation, transportation, cancelations, allotments, email request and activities on trips in the region and the logistics for the Central American Intrepid trips. Additionally, you will confirm bookings of all suppliers to ensure the budgeted costs are correct and that all information relating to the booking is recorded on the company data base. Last, but not least, you will oversee submitting the payments to Finance and supporting the Incident Line.
Aside from that, you will get the opportunity to assist in improving the reservations processes and use of the system wisely.
This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate on a hybrid basis out of our office in San Jose, Costa Rica and with some work-from-home days, providing the best experience to our customers. A flexible schedule is required.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:
Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Strong computer skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience with a reservations system is advantageous.
Understanding of the local travel Industry – particularly Costa Rica, but knowledge of other Central American countries such as: Mexico, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama.
Be very proactive and have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Can work independently and with a team.
