Position Overview

RecruitGo is in search of a Program Coordinator based in Bali, Indonesia who will be working with our client based in Tanzania. Our client is a Volunteer Travel Provider.

Aside from your established skills and expertise, we are also looking for someone who has excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with local stakeholders, and highly adaptable, proactive, and able to navigate new challenges.

Responsibilities

Phase 1: Establishing Operations in Bali

· Scouting and Setup:

o Identify and secure suitable volunteer accommodation in Bali.

o Research and provide insights into local customs, regulations, transportation, and cultural practices to help shape our program setup.

· Building Partnerships:

o Develop relationships with local schools, hospitals, environmental projects, and other community organizations for volunteer placements.

o Establish agreements and partnerships with relevant institutions to ensure long-term collaboration.

· Logistics and Compliance:

o Understand and coordinate necessary legal or regulatory requirements for operating volunteer programs in Bali.

o Set up local transport options, including airport pick-ups and placement transfers.

o Assist in hiring additional local support staff as needed.

Phase 2: Programme and Volunteer Coordination

· Volunteer Management:

o Be the main point of contact for volunteers during their stay.

o Organize airport pick-ups and ensure smooth arrivals.

o Conduct comprehensive orientations, including cultural expectations, program guidelines, and safety protocols.

o Coordinate and supervise volunteer placements, ensuring alignment with community needs and project goals.

o Provide ongoing support, resolving any issues or concerns that arise.

· Community Engagement & Relationship Management:

o Maintain positive and open communication with partner organizations.

o Regularly check in with placements to ensure mutual satisfaction and program success.

o Foster cultural exchange by organizing activities and experiences that integrate volunteers into the local community.

· Operational Support:

o Assist in managing day-to-day program logistics, including accommodation maintenance and transportation arrangements.

o Monitor program impact and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

o Support the organization’s overall mission by aligning with ethical and sustainable volunteer practices.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

· At least 1 year of relevant experience.
· Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

· Strong knowledge of Bali, including its geography, culture, customs, and transport systems.

· Experience working with international travelers, tour operators, or volunteer organizations.

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with local stakeholders.

· Highly adaptable, proactive, and able to navigate new challenges.

Nice-to-Haves:

· Background in community development, social work, education, or international development.

· Prior experience in volunteer program management or working with similar organizations.

· Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or willingness to learn.

· Experience in hospitality, or tourism services.

● Salary Range: IDR 3,000,000 - IDR 5,000,000

● Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM / 3:00 PM Bali timezone (30-35 hours a week)
