Title: District Sales Manager

What You’ll Do
An individual in this position uses advanced sales expertise to focus on management of existing account business and opening new accounts within a selected geography. Success in this role comes from achieving defined daily sales objectives that include driving our complete portfolio as a key strategy to meet quota targets.  This critical role requires a forward-thinking, highly motivated sales leader to work directly with physicians in utilizing our products to treat blood clots and elevate care for patients suffering vascular diseases.
  • Lead account management (contracting, account set up, relationship management, training) for existing accounts and new account launches.
  • Drive new product launches to achieve sales metrics.
  • Meet quota on assigned territory accounts on a quarterly/semi-annual/annual basis.
  • Develop and grow strong relationships with physician advocates within assigned accounts through clinical knowledge of procedures and products.
  • Focused on driving depth and increasing product utilization across our portfolio in existing accounts through the cultivation of new physician users.
  • Collaborate with marketing to help drive product collateral and programs.
  • Understand basic anatomy of peripheral vascular cases and articulate intricacies of complex cases.
  • Formulate sales revenue projections, by account, for the territory.
  • Conduct account management activities such as inventory counts, product support, etc.
  • Based on assigned accounts and territory goals, develop and manage a call plan for the week/quarter ahead.
  • Participate in broader project assignments outlined by sales management, including but not limited to communications, training, meeting leadership, marketing projects, etc.
  • Deliver sales presentations focused on product features and benefits.
  • Conduct in-services and presentations to all support staff (including floor, RN’s and techs) and sign off physicians and staff once completely trained on product prep and deployment.
  • Demonstrate outstanding product knowledge
  • Manage complications at assigned accounts to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving product deployment skill level of all trained users at assigned accounts.
  • Communicate daily with sales team to update on competitive, clinical, and customer situations.
  • Complete administrative requirements (including expenses) in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Participates in the contracting process of company products.
  • Maintain company standards involving ethical and moral character while professionally representing the company.

What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 8 years sales experience in the medical device, neurovascular, or pharmaceutical industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Cath lab technician, nurse, etc. strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Clinical background or strong neurovascular sales skills and track record is ideal.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Effective interpersonal interactions, both within the commercial group and in accounts
  • Excellent reading, verbal, and written communications skills; good arithmetic skills and strong attention to detail to maintain records and process reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel
  • Proven product knowledge in business area
  • Valid driver's license
