Job description

The Business Value Consultant (BVC) advises organizations on how to achieve their Positive Business Outcomes through the Firstup Platform. The BVC takes a data-driven approach to consulting, guiding customers to improve theirdigital employee experience programs and strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Best Practice Guidance Across the Customer Journey: Offer comprehensive best practice guidance to customers at various stages of their journey by facilitating workshops and working sessions, ensuring they harness the full potential of employee attributes to execute a content strategy effectively. Provide expert support in implementing a well-structured governance strategy that aligns with industry best practices, empowering customers to deliver relevant content to key employee audiences throughout their entire employee journey.
  • Data Strategy Development: Assist customers in establishing a robust data strategy to track progress towards and achievement of KPIs associated with positive business outcomes. Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate communication effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and optimize strategies for success.
  • Strategic Content Execution: Collaborate closely with customers to develop and execute a content strategy that maximizes the impact of the Firstup platform. Ensure that publishers follow established best practices and adhere to a structured governance strategy, facilitating the delivery of timely and relevant content to target employee audiences. Drive alignment between content initiatives and overarching business objectives to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Governance Strategy: Lead the implementation of a robust governance strategy that governs the creation, distribution and management of content within the Firstup platform. Establish clear guidelines and protocols for publishers to follow, ensuring consistency, quality and relevance in all communication efforts. Monitor adherence to governance principles and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
  • Maximizing Employee Personalization: Collaborate closely with customers to identify and harness the unique attributes of their workforce, optimizing content execution strategies within the Firstup platform. Advise on leveraging employee attributes to tailor content delivery methods and messaging, ensuring resonance and impact among target audiences.
  • Develop expertise with the Firstup platform and use cases through ongoing learning and development.
  • Collaborate within the pod to proactively identify customer growth opportunities and at-risk accounts, recommending consulting services that drive value, enhance adoption, and mitigate risks.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in professional services, SaaS customer success, or equivalent communications experience, preferably within an organization with $100M+ in ARR.
  • Demonstrated client relationship, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate internally with multiple teams
  • Ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies to drive business growth and customer success. Experience in leveraging data to uncover actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to understand business objectives and align analytics initiatives to support them.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to execute against a defined methodology and deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline. 
  • Operational knowledge of internal communication or HR platforms including Microsoft365, Sharepoint, Intranets, HRIS vendors, employee engagement vendors, or similar platforms preferred. 
  • Firstup expects the base salary for this role to be between $70,000-$90,000. The starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
