Role Summary: The Principal Solution Architect is a leadership role responsible for setting the direction and defining the approach for creating complex, configurable solutions that meet business needs. This role requires extensive experience with platform capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to mentor and guide other architects and developers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Define and lead the architectural strategy for configurable solutions across the organization.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems, ensuring that the proposed solutions are robust, scalable, and meet the strategic goals of the business.
  • Drive the evaluation and decision-making process for the use of point-and-click configuration versus custom development, advocating for best practices in configuration management.
  • Mentor and provide architectural guidance to other solution architects and technical teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives and translate them into technical requirements and system designs.
  • Lead the review of new and existing system designs and configurations, ensuring they align with architectural standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining detailed documentation and diagrams of the organization's systems architecture and configurations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the platform's configuration capabilities, staying abreast of new features and functionality.
  • Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving complex configuration issues.
  • Participate in the development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of configurable solutions within the organization.
  • Lead coordination between different Salesforce workstreams per regions and ensuring coordination between Salesforce program initiatives.



Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, with a significant portion dedicated to point-and-click configuration on enterprise platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership in designing and implementing large-scale configurable solutions.
  • A strong portfolio of successful system integrations and configurations that have delivered tangible business benefits.
  • Experience with different methods of integrations between Salesforce platform and external systems via API Integrations and Middleware integrations.
  • Salesforce Multi-cloud knowledge including Salesforce B2B Commerce, Salesforce Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and even Data Cloud.
  • DevOps and Release Management experience.


Skills Required:
    • Deep expertise in the principles of configuration management and platform-specific configuration tools.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide technical teams.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Advanced certifications related to the specific platform(s) of expertise (e.g., Salesforce System Architect, Salesforce Application Architect, Salesforce B2B Solution Architect, Salesforce B2C Solution Architect, ServiceNow Certified Master Architect).
    • Proven track record of thought leadership in the technology domain, including speaking engagements, publications, or community contributions.
    • Significant experience of implementing complex Salesforce programs including multi-cloud implementation and integration with external systems (e.g., ERP, Marketing Automation, OMS).

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to OSF Digital. Employees may live anywhere in Canada, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role. Generally, the standard base pay range for this role is CA$150,000 to 170,000 Annually. This base pay range is specific to certain locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for competitive benefits, individual and team performance awards, others. Actual amounts will vary depending on overall profile, experience, and location.
