Loopback Analytics is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our analytics team in building complex analytics systems and machine learning models using healthcare data. The ideal candidate will have a background in data engineering or data science, an understanding of healthcare clinical data, and hands-on experience with Databricks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain solutions to meet various needs in the healthcare space. The Senior Data Engineer will report to the Principal Data Scientist.
Job Duties to Include
· Collaborate with data scientists, product management, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design analytics systems to meet client needs.
· Develop, maintain, and deploy machine learning and AI models to solve business needs on clinical healthcare data.
· Develop, maintain, and deploy code in Pyspark to optimize processes, clean large datasets, and create new analytics systems.
· Monitor quality control in our analytics pipeline, addressing any bugs, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies proactively.
· Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in healthcare data management.
Requirements
Technical Experience:
· A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in data engineering, with an emphasis on healthcare clinical data.
· Experience with Databricks and Pyspark for building and optimizing data pipelines.
· Skilled in programming languages such as Python (preferred) or Scala for data processing.
· Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
· Strong SQL or tabular data skills for data manipulation, querying, and performance optimization.
· Aptitude for troubleshooting intricate data-related challenges and devising solutions.
· Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts effectively.
Preferred Experience:
· Industry experience in testing, building, and deploying Machine Learning or AI models
· Sound familiarity with healthcare data standards and exposure to clinical data systems.
· Experience with utilizing LLMs to develop business applications.
