PremiumBeat, a leading royalty-free music platform under the Shutterstock umbrella, is looking for a Full-Stack Software Developer (IC Level 1-2) to join our engineering team. You’ll work across JavaScript/TypeScript and Python, contributing to a high-impact team that builds and enhances PremiumBeat’s music discovery, licensing, and monetization platforms.
As a Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll develop new features, improve system performance, and collaborate on evolving our tech stack. You'll work on product optimizations, subscription models, and AI-driven music discovery, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and creative industry. Work across JavaScript (React, Node.js, TypeScript) and Python to enhance PremiumBeat’s platform.
Build and improve features spanning UI/UX, backend services, APIs, and databases.
Contribute to search optimizations, AI-powered discovery, and internal tools.
Enhance subscription models, payment integrations, and licensing tools.
Work with serverless architectures, cloud environments (AWS), and containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes).
Partner with product managers, designers, and other developers to create intuitive, high-performance applications.
Contribute to A/B testing and feature experiments to drive data-backed improvements.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and on-call rotations to ensure system stability.
We’re looking for problem solvers who love to learn and grow. While you don’t need to check every box, experience in these areas will set you up for success:
Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node.js, TypeScript) and Python or a strong willingness to learn both.
Experience with full-stack development, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving, debugging and post-production monitoring skills
Experience working in async/distributed teams.
Quality and pragmatic pull requests, both as reviewer and author.
Knowledge of front-end performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility best practices.
Ability to progress through tasks despite ambiguity.
Interest in music tech and digital licensing is a plus!
