Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Chief of Staff to support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing operations, and enhancing organizational efficiency. The Chief of Staff will serve as a trusted advisor to the COO, acting as a liaison between the COO and internal teams, and ensuring the successful execution of key projects and priorities. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Strategic Support and Execution:

  • Act as a key advisor and partner closely with the COO to develop, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives and goals.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Develop presentations, reports, and communications for internal stakeholder including executive leadership

Project and Program Management:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Monitor progress of initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify and address roadblocks, escalating issues to the COO when necessary.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimize workflows and processes across the COO’s areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify and implement operational improvements.
  • Develop systems for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Service as a bridge between the COO and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability across the organization.
  • Represent the COO in meetings, as needed, provide follow-up actions to relevant stakeholders and ensure action are executed effectively.

Administrative Support:

  • Organize schedules, prioritizing meetings and engagements based on strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate high-level meetings, including preparing agendas and ensuring actionable outcomes.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Periodic travel aligned to strategic initiatives and programs

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in a leadership, operational, or strategic role, with at least 3 years supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management skills with a track record of owning and delivering results.
    • Creative problem solver capable of finding novel solutions to address uncharted issues and then creating processes to reach those solutions.
    • Exceptional, analytical and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Adept at managing up, down, and across an organization with diplomacy and credibility.
    • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, project management software, and data analysis platforms.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position.  Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$195,360.00 - $351,360.00
