Job description

The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for the execution of operational needs for people related processed within a specific Business Unit (“BU”). The role will be reporting directly to the CEO & BU Leader. The HR Manager will be supported by the L2 Group HR Business Partner who will advise and consult on the strategic initiatives within the BU.

This critical role will provide a service-oriented approach to HR and will build collaborative relationships at multiple organizational levels, with Executives, Managers and Employees located globally while supporting the execution of Group HR programs and processes. This role will ensure high quality delivery of HR services to the BU in partnership with the L2 Group HR BP whilst ensuring the BU is in compliance with local legislation and parent company policies.

Job Duties
  • Act as the first point of contact for the managers and employees within the BU; escalating matters to the L2 Group HR BP where required and as per the HR and general business Approvals Matrix. 
  • Support the Group driven annual processes including, but not limited to: Engagement, Merit & Bonus, Performance reviews and Auditing.
  • Ensure adherence to Lumine HR Policies and Workday governance.
  • Consolidate HR data, project and program information to be reported to the L2 Group HR BP as requested.
  • In partnership with the BU, support the recruitment efforts.
  • In consultation with Group HR; execute and support HR programs for the BU.
  • Support the data collection for annual global compensation benchmarking.
  • Administer the company benefits and lead the renewals process for the BU.
  • In partnership with Group HR, contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Manage the HR onboarding and offboarding procedures for staff within the BU.
  • Manage benefits administration for staff within the BU.
  • Prepare the payroll files for processing and work with the finance team for queries and audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
  • Certification in human resources management by a governing body is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of international labour laws and able to interpret and implement employment-related legislation.
  • High level of confidentiality and objectivity, working with sensitive materials.
  • Creative, logical, and analytical. Willing to try new approaches and to constantly innovate.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in business administration, human resources management, or a related field is required.
  • Certification in human resources management by a governing body is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a human resources generalist position.
  • Able to make sound business decisions and evidence-based recommendations to senior management.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Able to interpret and implement employment-related legislation.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of international labour laws.
  • Proven track record of building strong working relationships with business and human resource partners while fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain objective while working with sensitive and confidential materials.
  • Creative, logical, and analytical. Willing to try new approaches and to constantly innovate.
