Alfa are seeking an experienced Immigration and Corporate Governance Specialist to manage our organization's immigration processes and corporate governance requirements. Reporting to the Director of Operations the successful candidate will handle visa applications, green card processing, and state-level corporate compliance while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Immigration Management
• Coordinate and process various visa applications (L1A, L1B, E2, H1B) for US, Canada, and other countries
• Manage end-to-end green card application processes, including PERM, ETA9089, and related forms
• Handle visa renewal processes and ensure timely submissions
• Serve as primary liaison with immigration attorneys for case-specific matters
• Maintain comprehensive immigration documentation
• Implement and manage immigration tracking systems in Workday and Google Sheets
• Create and maintain monthly immigration status dashboards
• Develop and execute review processes for renewal tracking
Corporate Governance
• Coordinate with CT Corp for annual report submissions across 19 states (and new states as they occur)
• Maintain and update corporate minute books
• Manage new state registration processes
• Handle corporate registrations, sales tax registrations, and withholding registrations • Create and maintain compliance tracking systems and monthly dashboards
Remote Work and Policy Compliance
• Maintain tracker of legislative requirements for states with employees
• Monitor impact of remote work requests on employment requirements
• Serve as liaison between HR, Legal, and Finance for all new remote working requests
• Maintain Global HR policy tracker and ensure timely compliance updates
• Coordinate with policy owners for regular reviews and updates
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or related field
• Proven experience in immigration processing and corporate compliance
• Strong knowledge of US immigration laws and corporate governance requirements • Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in related field
• Professional certification in immigration law or corporate compliance
• Experience with international business operations
• Knowledge of Canadian immigration processes
