Commercial Sales Manager

Overview:

Celebrating its 100-year anniversary, Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE “HAYW”) is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. 

Responsible for the development and management of Hayward Commercial Pool Products sales activities driving sales both personally and in conjunction with inside sales, customer service, and the Hayward Commercial Products sales organization.  Expect a fair base salary with commissions of earning potential upwards of $100-$200k.  The successful candidate would ideally be located on the West Coast.  This position will report directly to the VP of Commercial.

• Travels throughout assigned territory to call on distributors, dealers, Commercial builders, OEMs and prospective commercial customers to obtain new business and expand existing business.
• Performs formal presentations to commercial engineering firms and works to have Hayward products specified in the design of new commercial pools.
• Proactively prospects new opportunities outside of Hayward’s core commercial business.
• Advises dealers and distributors concerning sales and advertising techniques.
• Analyzes market trends and sales data to assist dealers in sales promotions for present and future business.
• Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalogs, and explains features, attributes and advantages over competition.
• Reviews market analyses to determine customer requirements, volume potential and competitive pricing.
• Develops sales campaigns for assigned territory to help achieve goals of company.
• Represents Hayward at trade shows and association meetings to promote product.
• Coordinates between Pool Sales, customer service, technical service, engineering and other departments as appropriate.
• Controls expenditures of personal geographic district to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Provides input and implements annual sales plan for the territory, including sales strategy, to maximize return from the territory's assigned accounts/geographic area and to meet the territory's sales quotas established by the VP of Commercial.
• Develops and maintains a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts and contacts (direct and indirect) in a computerized database program such as Salesforce.
• Prepares monthly progress reports, monthly itinerary, weekly call reports and weekly expense reports in a timely manner and submits to the VP of Commercial.
• May be responsible for the training of sales trainees, sales representatives, and territory sales managers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Commercial.

Education / Experience:

• A minimum of five years related sales experience with a sustained level of sales achievement
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred

Capabilities/Qualifications:

• Broad knowledge of Commercial swimming pool equipment preferred  
• Working knowledge of electronic chlorine generation, and solar, gas and electric heaters is a plus 
• Familiarity with automated control systems, basic electricity, plumbing, hydraulics and/or water chemistry is a plus
