Job Summary

Leading one or more high functioning teams, the Solutions Architect Manager is responsible for the management of senior technical resources that develop robust solutions in SQL Server for Legal Services projects.  This individual will provide direction to Solutions Architects, SQL Developers, and Business Systems Analysts in the development of data processing plans that address the custom needs of each project. The Solutions Architect Manager should think strategically, with an equal focus on delivering to both short and long term objectives while exceeding client expectations.

The Solutions Architect Manager will collaborate with managers and other business leaders in identifying and fostering solutions to address a wide range of business challenges. This person should be detail oriented but flexible, ready to adapt to changing needs and priorities, able to cycle in and out of projects and lead teams towards solutions.  They should thrive on the challenge of solving complex problems as the manager and leader of a high-performance team.       

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage and prioritize team assignments, ensuring deadlines are achieved and the team effectively communicates about progress and obstacles, both within the team and to stakeholders of the team’s work    
  • Assist in distilling data requirements from settlement agreements, client interactions, and other legal documents
  • Review and/or refine code to ensure quality outputs from the team's work.
  • Interface with business stakeholders to identify new and/or clarify existing requirements
  • Provide regular mentoring, coaching, and guidance to employees, steadily growing skills and closing gaps
  • Set individual goals and objectives, establish development plans, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports
  • Build effective relationships throughout the organization and remove obstacles to success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related fields) strongly preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in managing and leading technical teams

  • Ability to understand complex business processes and adapt solutions to meet the needs of the business
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborative interaction with direct reports, managers, and business stakeholders
  • Comfortable in direct client interactions, able to clearly and confidently articulate both challenges and solutions to non-technical clients
  • Must enjoy and have experience working in a fast paced environment, able to quickly realign with shifting priorities
  • 5+ years’ experience with SQL Server and/or other relational databases
  • Advanced level knowledge and experience working with SQL Server and/or in the development of T-SQL code
  • Experience tuning T-SQL queries and/or in the optimization of database server performance
  • Experience performing complex data analysis of very large datasets
  • Not required, but experience working with software development frameworks such as C#, ASP.NET MVC, Javascript, Angular, or React is considered a plus #LI-Remote #LI-RC1

The Compensation range for this role is 118,026.90 - 236,054.40 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
