Job Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager with expertise in iOS, Android, and web services to lead our QA efforts and ensure application reliability. This role is critical to our application delivery processes, requiring strong collaboration with engineering, product owners, and DevOps. We need a leader who is assertive, proactive in identifying issues, and confident in addressing concerns in larger group settings. Additionally, this role will be responsible for mentoring and coaching QA testers, fostering a high-performance team.
Responsibilities:
● Quality Assurance Leadership & Collaboration
○ Partner with Product Owners to review and refine requirements, test plans, and user stories.
○ Audit and maintain test plans, ensuring alignment with business goals. ○ Provide constructive feedback on Figma designs, Jira user stories, and supporting documentation.
○ Communicate test plan risks and recommendations to engineering managers, product owners, and leadership.
● Application Testing & Risk Management
○ Take ownership of QA processes, ensuring high standards for testing iOS, Android, and web services.
○ Oversee and execute smoke, regression, and functional tests.
○ Identify issues early and call them out confidently in meetings, ensuring they are addressed before release.
○ Escalate risks appropriately to ensure timely resolutions.
● Coaching & Team Development
○ Mentor and coach the QA team, ensuring strong technical growth and a culture of accountability.
○ Hire, train, and develop QA engineers into leaders.
○ Provide clear direction and constructive feedback, helping the team enhance testing processes.
● Application Release & Process Improvement
○ Support DevOps release processes and oversee post-release smoke testing. ○ Partner with DevOps to ensure QA infrastructure needs are met.
○ Continuously improve QA methodologies and automation strategies.
Requirements:
● Hands-on experience with Cucumber and Gherkin.
● Strong expertise with Appium, Playwright, Git, and Postman.
● Proven experience leading iOS and Android testing.
● Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
● Ability to facilitate collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders, and executives.
● Confident in identifying, communicating, and resolving issues in group settings.
● Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing QA professionals.
