WHY WE NEED YOU? GLAD YOU ASKED...
The media landscape is changing. To win, we need our decisions to be faster, smarter, and more strategic. We’re looking for a technically proficient Business Analyst that sees the potential in this, and wants to make a difference by driving insights for growth within our Sales teams. Our analyst will work to understand our sales products across platforms, the key performance metrics, and how these impact our business. Working closely with our Revenue Analyst, they will dig into the details of our Media Sales cycle, present findings, and provide recommendations. We need someone who understands the technical side of reporting and analytics, from data cleansing to structuring dashboards. Most importantly, though, we need someone who can tell compelling stories using data (you will be working with the Sales team, after all!)
Please note, this is a 10 Month Contract until January 30th, 2026.
This is a remote position, but we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work and are currently located in Canada only. The role requires working in East Standard Hours.
WHAT IS THE DAY TO DAY LOOK LIKE?Support the analytic needs of the Sales business unit by using sales data and ad performance metrics with Netsuite, Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, and othersCollaborate with other teams on regular basis to provide in depth sales product reporting, insights, visualizations, and materials to support presentations and decision makingLeverage our BI tools, including Power BI, Google Sheets, Excel, and others to produce dashboards and reports that enable our teams to be smarter about our businessCollaborate with our Sales Enablement teams to ensure data collection is “set up for success”Respond to ad hoc requests by quickly pulling data, organizing results, and clearly communicating findingsMaintain regularly assigned reporting, including troubleshooting technical issues, answering user questions about reporting results, and looking for efficienciesHave an active role in building business cases / recommendations for new products / initiativesCultivate and manage relationships at the company and among the teamsWork with other business analysts to foster smarter analysis and deeper insights across all business unitsWE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE3+ years of relevant work experience in an analytics capacityIntermediate to Advanced skills in Excel, with competency in PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, or similarProficiency with at least one of: SQL, Python, DAX, R, or other data model creation toolsHas focused in one or more of the following areas: digital media, ad products / technology, statistical modeling, and/or marketing analyticsBroad understanding of analytical processes including but not limited to data management, forecasting, optimization, predictive modeling, and visualizationUnderstand how to read and interpret reports, and create dashboards for business usersTHE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING..You understand the advertising / media spaceYou’re comfortable with structuring messy dataYou can successfully turn a hypothesis into a story, and support it with dataYou’ve worked in both structured and unstructured environments and are comfortable navigating either to ensure the job gets done rightYOU ARE MADE FOR THIS IF...You believe in the fundamental importance of clean data. You excel at prioritization.Storytelling is second nature to you.You ask questions - lots of questions - and are always learning. You can work effectively independently, but are also a strong collaborator.
