Job description

Overview

 

The Associate Director, Sales Operations will be an integral member of the Iovance Business Analytics and Insights team. This is a hands-on role that will have responsibilities towards all aspects of sales operations: from field team sizing, and customer target list development, to creating tools and resources to enhance sales force effectiveness. The individual will be a key member of the Commercial Operations team and will be responsible for implementing processes, systems, and tools to support activities such as sales productivity and effectiveness, customer targeting and alignment, customer relationship management (CRM), and incentive compensation (IC) in support of our CTN community sales teams. The individual will closely work with sales and marketing teams as well as IT partners. A competitive candidate will possess exceptional technical skills and be a creative problem-solver. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

  • Analyze market data to create effective sales territories involving the internal and external sales teams.
  • Regularly review and recommend territory boundaries to maximize sales coverage and performance.
  • Assist in modifying sales team incentive compensation plans
  • Support execution of incentive compensation by collaborating with Finance and HR stakeholders to interpret and executive incentive compensation payouts.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze sales data from CRM systems to identify trends patterns and areas for improvement.
  • Partner across teams provide strategic insights, ensure operational alignment to the company’s business strategy and goals.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales pipeline
  • Perform data management tasks working together with IT Administrators
  • Contribute to a collaborative, engaging, and development-focused culture across the broader Global Analytics and Commercial Operations team

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

 

  • 4 year degree in business, science, or engineering is preferred with 6-8 years industry experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry required.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data and visual tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent skills in performing quantitative analysis and interpreting data to recommend strategic business decisions
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, and Komodo Health
  • Knowledge of biotechnology industry, including market dynamics, product offerings, and regulatory landscape
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and effectively cross-functionally
  • Able to flourish in a small, nimble, often ambiguous entrepreneurial company environment
