MSI Insurance is looking for an innovative and experienced quality analyst to support the Data and Analytics organization. The Quality Analyst is responsible for developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects. The successful candidate will work closely with business colleagues and the Data & Analytics team to perform and validate test cases based on requirements and recommend changes to predetermined quality guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that the end product meets the minimum quality standards, is fully functional and user-friendly.

This position will ensure the products produced by the Data & Analytics team meet the business needs and are of high quality. To be successful as a quality analyst, you should demonstrate strong attention to detail and have analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate must be able to interpret and implement quality assurance standards and provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to colleagues.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure that all objectives are met.
  • Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
  • Identify and remedy defects within the production process.
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data.
  • Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process.
  • Assist in drafting quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Investigate customer complaints and product issues.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions between business and IT.
  • Maintains and ensures proper documentation.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to ensure quality assurance needs are met.
  • Partners with Project Manager to negotiate plans and timeframes, ensuring that the business understands the anticipated result. 
  • Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks. 
  • Works on multiple concurrent projects

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Insurance knowledge/experience strongly desired.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a quality analyst.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Analytical Thinker
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and with little guidance.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure ecosystem and in particular Fabric a plus.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required.
  • At least one to two years of related experience. 

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
