The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for all functions pertaining to the company's patient registration, billing, coding and revenue cycle to maximize cash flow, while maintaining and improving internal and external customer relations.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Set up Health Plans and maintain in Patient Accounting System (Cerner).
  • Manage Out-Patient and Physician billing operations including month end close process, payment reconciliation to the bank, timely charge capture, and financial reporting. Review on-going billing operations performed by out-sourced billing companies to ensure performance to achieve company goals including timely collections.  
  • Ensure claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed and resolved by the third party billing companies. 
  • Maintain and optimize ChargeMaster.
  • Charge capture review.  This includes supporting the hospitals with new charge codes as needed, hospital charge capture process review, and ensuring updates as costs change.
  • Review and communicate payer changes in claim filing requirements to billing staff and Finance Team.
  • Responsible for billing set-up for new hospitals including EDI enrollments.
  • Assist with payer credentialing applications.
  • Maintain an accurate and current contract matrix for each hospital.
  • Responsible for hospital pricing transparency updates.
  • Maintain current compliance with governmental program (Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care Organization).
  • Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Prevention standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years Revenue Cycle experience
  • Experience with Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital preferred
